Cruising Down Memory Lane

Memories of those good old times with my lady in red

From KL-Phuket

At the thai boarder on the way to Phuket Bike Week 2010

Sepang Circuit

on Thursday, I was handed the key to my new beauty. I can't express how trilled I am to see her in her shinning new fairing. When I first bought the bike, I knew that I always wanted to dress her up in this repsol fairing as the cbr600rr is a replica (not exactly of course) of the RC211V motogp bike that dominated MotoGP when it was ridden by Valentino Rossi from 2002-2003. And now my dreams has come true.
This shows that with hard work and starving yourself, you could own one too.  =D

My New CBR600RR Repsol Fairings

I received a call from the workshop mechanic yesterday to come to his shop to discuss about my front bike's sport rim which is slightly bent.
He suggested that I buy another sports rim as he do not recommend repairing the damaged one because when riding at high speed, the front handle could wobble which could cause an uncomfortable riding experience and endanger the rider which is me of course.
As a new sports rim will cost me around rm2000, I asked if he could find another alternative.

So today when I visited his shop, he told me he had found a second hand front sports rim in good condition and he is willing to give me a reasonable price for it..and so I agreed..

Now my bike is looking as it should be..
A sexy beast wanting to be ridden fast and hard...
Those headlights like eyes looking at me, teasing me to take her for a spin..
The mechanic said that my bike should be ready this Saturday..
Ahh,, I can't wait for Saturday when I know you'll be in my arms again..
but then again the mechanic better not lie!!
Please Mr Mechanic, don't let me wait any longer....

Here are some pictures below..
Sorry about the poor picture quality
My New Repsol Fairing :)

No, the rims won't be green...
It's just there temporarily to make the bike stand to attach the new fairings..

Mango Mania Bangsar

For all of you who are looking a place to satisfy your craving for dessert after dinner,
I recommend for you to try a place called Mango Mania located at Bangsar.

Indulge yourself with tasty Frozen Mango Yogurt delicately melting in your mouth..
From Frozen Mango Yogurt, Mango Cakes, Mango Shakes, this place sell everything with mangoes..It is Truly Mango Mania!

The above picture is their signature dish the "Yo Naked" (rm6.90) which is Plain Frozen Mango Yogurt.

I had the "Mango Dress Me Up" (rm8.90) which is the same as "Yo Naked" but with extra fresh cut mangoes at the side...hmmm....Yummy!!!

Mango Mania is also a good place to chat and catch up with friends as the place has a very cozy ambiance and is not usually crowded with customers providing you with a somewhat private environment.

Location: Near Bangsar Village, at the same stretch of road of the Bangsar Police Station, in front of Bangsar's Eon Bank sign board.

Lan Je Steamed Fish Kota Damansara

I would like to share with you all a really fantastic place to eat Steamed Tilapia fish..
Not only it is reasonably priced, but all the hype that I have read and heard about the deliciousness of the fish is absolutely true.
I have tasted it personally and it is unbelievable..
It is so good that anybody that goes here would order one Steamed Tilapia fish dish for themselves(one fish for one customer)..and believe me, you wouldn't want to share :P

One fish would cost rm15-rm20 depending on size.
There is only one style of cooking these fish but one can choose how spicy you want it to be.
Normal(Biasa), Spicy(Pedas) or Extra Spicy (Lebih Pedas)
I always order the Extra Spicy because I like it HOT!!
I'm not gonna touch on the normal side dishes like tofu or the vegetables because they are only so and so and not really a highlight.

But I suggest for you to go out there and try this tasty dish out for yourself.
You won't be disappointed!!

Heartbroken

Today I am feeling the after effects after one of my friend, friend totaled my bike..
I miss riding it :(
The power and sheer joy that she always gave me on the roads..

This tragic event happened last month..
Apparently when I went to the office, my house mate took my keys to my lady in red and took her out for a joy ride.
He then went to his friends house (I am not sure why he went there) to hang out with his buddies and one of them ask him if he could test ride my bike.
I'm do not know if he hesitated to give the keys at the first place or not, but he did gave the keys and then this happened

Ahh I can't watch!!!
Then he called me up to say this and that happen..
Then I was like "!@#%#!%!^&&&!!"

The rider who crashed my bike is in good health..with road rashes of course on his shoulders, knees and elbow..ouch!!

Well I guess thats what you get from riding with wearing shorts, singlet and slippers..
Thank god he was wearing a helmet..
I can't imagine if something else would happened to him..
To make matters worse, that helmet he was wearing was also mine..
Sigh....
I have sent my baby for repairs at a workshop in klang and his 5 mins of joy riding pleasure has costs him rm4,800 (not including damages to my helmet)

I am not kedekut (stingy) with my belongings but when somebody wants to ride it without any prior experience on a sport bike before, I have to strongly say NO, you can't ride my bike because I don't you to accidentally crash and hurt yourself in the process or worse you or somebody else you crashed into could die. Motorcycles could be repaired or replaced but if something bad would happened, I would not know how to face your family and tell them the bad news.

Moral of the story, do not EVER leave your keys of your car or your bike at home!!

I leave you with a link of a story they call the road rash queen partly because she survived a terrible accident riding at the back seat of a Suzuki GSX-R750 http://wiki.sabmagfaq.org/Road%20Rash%20Queen

P/S: Please people, always wear your safety gear before Riding..

Today I gave rm10 to charity..
I know it's not much but it took me a while to think if I should give my money or decline respectfully.
I do usually give out money when you know sometimes when you eat outside or at a mamak stall, you find those blind or handicapped asking for money in exchange you get a packet of tissue or a calender right?
I often give out rm1..
Sometimes they come in waves..
After you hand out rm1, another half an hour later, comes another fragile hand asking you to donate and give out a helping hand to the needy.
I admit, I do feel like driving at the highway and being charge a "toll" fee just by eating there.
but today I gave out rm10..
What I realize is that I didn't hesitate even a bit when I bought a box of cigarettes which cost me 10 ringgit.
But I hesitated when I wanted to hand out rm10 to a girl who asked me to donate to this Tahfiz Amal Institution while I was fueling up petrol for my car....
Maybe I just need to reduce buying cigarettes to lessen my guilt :p

P/S: I do hope the money REALLY does reach that Tahfiz Institution.

11.1.11

Fantastic date to start off my first post but i just had one hell of a day in the office..

This is not a good year to begin with..

So not a year i want to remember..

Can i "Ctrl+Z" to undo those things i did and redo it all over again?

I wish I could..

But then again reality is not as sweet as my fantasy;
